Meet Our Team
I graduated from Warsaw University completing my Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2001 I graduated from Queens College, obtaining a Masters Degree in Special Education. In 2003, I moved back to Poland and I started to work as a teacher at American School of Warsaw.
My professional experience began with several different assignments while studying at Warsaw University. I worked as a resource teacher and a court appointed social worker. When I moved to New York, I worked at Steppingstone Day School - a preschool serving children with and without disabilities- as a regular education teacher and, after obtaining my Masters Degree in Special education, as a special education teacher. I joined ASW's team in 2003. Despite over 25 years of teaching experience, I continue to grow and learn everyday. Teaching young children is challenging, but extremely rewarding ! No other job creates opportunities to laugh, play, have fun and discover daily!
I live outside Warsaw in a small village far away from the city's noise and I love it! There is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the terrace early in the morning, listening to the birds singing and having a cup of coffee. I love reading, gardening and traveling. I also enjoy long bike rides with my husband.

I was born in San Diego, California. I hold a Batchelor of Arts degree and Masters in Teaching degree from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. I also hold a Masters in International School Administration from Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts. Before joining ASW in 2001, I taught elementary school in Jakarta, Indonesia and in Bend, Oregon. I live in Warsaw with my Polish wife Agnieszka and our two daughters Nelli and Inka. My biggest passions in life are playing with my daughters, reading, hiking, and alpine skiing.
The 2018-19 school year is my 10th as a teacher. After teaching 3rd grade for four years in a suburb of Vancouver, Canada, I then moved to Istanbul, Turkey to begin the experience of teaching internationally. I taught middle school there for two years, and then headed to Surabaya, Indonesia where I taught both 1st and 2nd grade for the past three years. I have loved all the grade levels that I’ve taught - however, 2nd grade definitely holds a special place in my heart. I am very much enjoying my first school year at ASW!
I am so excited to call Warsaw my new home and am looking forward to exploring the many museums, galleries and coffee shops that the city offers. When not teaching, I can be found enjoying the outdoors, reading a good book, or cuddling my cat Lokum.
